Jackson Wrede is a contemporary realist painter who blends classical technique with a distinctly modern sensibility. Influenced early on by cartoons and pop art collage, Wrede’s artistic direction shifted after encountering European masterworks firsthand during a summer in France, leading him toward a deeper engagement with the realist tradition. Originally from the northwest suburbs of Chicago, he earned his BFA from the University of Notre Dame and his MFA from Kendall College of Art & Design. He has received honors from the Portrait Society of America, features in publications such as Southwest Art, International Artist, and Art & Color 365, and acclaim for his 2025 solo exhibition…
